The Role
- Carry out a variety of mechanical, electrical and trim work, including:
- Mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Removal and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components
- Working on modern vehicles and classic cars
- Classic car repair and restoration work
- Vehicle inspections and identifying repair requirements
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional workshop
Experience:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Motor Mechanic or Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on classic or older vehicles is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- A reliable and professional attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
Relevant automotive qualifications are desirable, although experience and ability are equally important.
