About the job
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day delivery of PR programmes for leading corporate or NGO clients with efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive forward media relations, both in securing excellent coverage and managing the team to achieve strong results
- Plan and implement multiple media strategies across national, trade and broadcast media
- Proactively contribute creative ideas to develop exciting and engaging campaigns for existing and prospective clients
- Deploy excellent writing skills to produce high-quality written work with a strong attention to detail
- Identify proactively and pursue new business opportunities
- Plan and lead routine client meetings, offering coherent and concise advice, and instil confidence in your oversight and command of the account with the client
- Manage the junior team through forward planning and coordination, acting as the key lynchpin between the junior and senior team
- Maintain a portfolio of excellent relationships with journalists and/or a political network
About you
Essential experience:
You will currently be an Account Manager in a PR agency, ideally working on corporate, B2B or purpose-focused accounts.
The ideal candidate:
- You’ll be able to demonstrate strong client and project management skills – taking briefs from clients, managing WIP’s and ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
- Can secure top-tier national media coverage across broadcast, print and online.
- Have a keen desire to make an impact in a forward-thinking agency and to make the world a better place.
- Have an excellent grasp of the news agenda and the political landscape.
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills with a professional eye for detail.
- Be task-oriented with excellent time management skills.
