We are looking for a passionate and creative PR Account Executive to work across our culture, brand and experience portfolio spanning food, drink, music, tech and FMCG brands. The role is part of the PR Hub at Full Fat, delivering the day-to-day execution of PR campaigns. THE ROLE
You'll have a real passion for and knowledge of the media landscape and a hunger to build an ever-growing book of press and influencer contacts. You'll act as the eyes and ears of your team and clients - constantly tracking relevant news and trends, competitor activity and other developments to always remain one step ahead. You'll be a good verbal communicator, happy to contribute to company and client meetings, media sell-ins and new business pitches. You'll also be a fantastic writer, with a range of copy from press releases and comment pieces to feature angles and pitches. Working across multiple accounts within the PR hub, you'll gain broad media experience and be supported in your development by specialist PR managers and the Head of Publicity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support Account Managers in executing media outreach across assigned accounts
- Build and maintain media lists, research journalist contacts and track coverage
- Confidently develop and pitch feature ideas and news stories to journalists
- Draft initial press releases, media alerts and pitch emails for review
- Write compelling copy for a range of media and client-facing purposes: emails, letters, briefings, meeting agendas, press releases, competition copy and newsletters
- Monitor media for coverage, competitor activity and newsjacking opportunities
- Understand and run programmes of media promotional activity, such as competitions and sampling offers
- Support event logistics: press days, launches, activations, media immersions, press accreditation, on-site interviews, photo calls, press conferences and training days
- Attend press and consumer-facing events, representing clients and Full Fat to a high standard
- Assist in client liaison: writing status updates, meeting follow-up notes, planning for and participating in client calls
- Compile coverage reports, media round-ups and evaluate client coverage
- Keep the PR hub admin running: media databases, contact records, filing
- Contribute ideas in brainstorms, campaign planning and new business pitches
