Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections for piping works including fabrication, erection, fit-up, and welding activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and international standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections (fit-up, welding, dimensional checks) and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT).
  • Monitor material traceability and ensure correct material usage (MTC, heat numbers, tagging).
  • Prepare and review QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, Method Statements, inspection reports, and NCRs.
  • Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.

Weld Log & Data Management Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update, and maintain weld logs in accordance with project requirements.
  • Record and track all weld joints including joint numbers, welder IDs, WPS details, and NDT results.
  • Ensure accurate entry of weld data into project systems/databases.
  • Coordinate with welding inspectors, NDT teams, and construction teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor weld repair rates and provide reports when required.
  • Ensure full traceability between weld maps, isometrics, and inspection records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in piping QA/QC within industrial projects (oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, etc.).
  • Experience in welding inspection and documentation.
  • Familiarity with weld log systems and data tracking tools (Excel or specialized software).
  • Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs.
  • Good command of English (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or equivalent welding inspector certification.
  • Experience in large-scale EPC projects.
