Roles and Responsibilities of an NVQ Level 3 Rigger 1. Planning and Preparation * Assess Work Requirements: Understand the scope of lifting operations, including the type of load, weight, and environmental conditions. * Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures. * Method Statements: Develop or interpret detailed method statements for rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards. * Equipment Selection: Select appropriate rigging equipment (e.g., slings, shackles, hoists, cranes) based on load requirements and site conditions. * Liaison with Teams: Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations. 2.
