- Plant installation: Install boilers, AHUs, chillers, fans
- Testing & commissioning: Pressure test, leak check, set controls
- Safety & compliance: Follow site rules, PPE, regs (BS EN, BREEAM)
- Coordination: Work with other trades, M&E supervisors
- Troubleshoot: Fix leaks, blockages, performance issues
- Handover support: Assist with docs, training
Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: NVQ Level 2/3 in HVAC or equiv. Gas Safe if needed
- Experience: 2-5 years HVAC fitting on M&E projects
- Skills: Pipework, ducting, tools (welding, bending)
- Certs: CSCS card, confined space if needed
