- Waste Processing Support: Assist with installing incinerator components (e.g., refractory linings, ash handling systems). Follow protocols for handling hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos-containing waste, chemicals).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to CDM 2015, COSHH, and LOLER regulations. Use PPE (respirators, flame-resistant clothing, safety boots) and attend daily toolbox talks. Report hazards (e.g., gas leaks, unstable structures) to supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools (e.g., grinders, drills) and plant machinery (if certified). Assist with crane lifts as a slinger/signaller (if trained).
- Quality Control: Inspect materials for defects and ensure compliance with specifications. Support QA/QC teams during inspections and snagging.
