- Planning & progress: Develop and track mechanical milestones, resource plans, and method statements
- Quality & compliance: Ensure install meets design specs, UK regs (BS EN, PED, PUWER), and safety standards
- Coordination: Interface with civils, electrical, process, and client teams
- Cost & reporting: Monitor budget, forecast, and report progress to PM
- Commissioning support: Oversee mechanical system handover, punch lists
- Safety lead: Enforce site rules, PTW, and mechanical hazards
Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equiv. CEng/IMechE a plus
- Experience: 5-10 years managing mechanical construction on complex industrial/M&E projects
- Skills: Project management, MS Project/Excel, reading P&IDs, problem-solving
- Certs: CSCS gold card, SMSTS, confined space if needed
