Lander~Grinspoon Academy, a K-6 Jewish Day school in Northampton, MA, is hiring a dynamic and creative full-time Hebrew teacher.
What you will do:
- You will teach Hebrew classes to students in grades 2-6 every day. Each class is 45-60 minutes, conducted all in Hebrew.
- Partner with families in regular communication.
- Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student.
- Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year.
- Commit to implementing our social/emotional curriculum as well as our strong academic program.
Qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about contributing to school-wide initiatives including social justice, our on-site working farm, and creative arts.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree.
- Be fluent in Hebrew and able to teach entirely in the target language.
- Have strong Judaic content knowledge and are able to teach about Jewish holidays in Hebrew.
- Have experience teaching elementary grade students.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Be familiar with Talam (preferred).
