Our client is seeking an experienced Passive IT Infrastructure Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Duties:

  • Review client Passive Infrastructure requirements and define scope of work
  • Interview client resources including IT and Facilities staff in order to define client objectives and confirm project scopes align with clients objectives
  • Identify/define project resources from all parties, i.e., clients and vendors
  • Create preliminary conceptual design and Rough Order of Magnitude Cost Estimates (ROM Budgets)
  • Create resource schedules and project programmes
  • Manage project scope of work and project team resources
  • Create and manage Request for Proposals for client services
  • Ensure that all designs meet CDM legislation and all relevant standards
  • Create 'For Construction' documents
  • Coordinate relocation of existing Passive Infrastructure equipment (if applicable)
  • Manage build out of Passive Infrastructure design and assist with integration as needed
  • Manage RFI’s, Change Order process, reconcile vendor contracts and approve client invoices
  • Develop close-out documentation
  • Experience in the design and construction process participating in client, architect, and contractor meetings
  • Inspect work and workmanship on site
  • Witness and commission systems
  • Check and issue O&M manual
  • Promote company in the market, taking every opportunity to identify new business potential
  • Consistently improve knowledge of Passive Infrastructure technology & developments
  • Evaluate new products and systems

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of projects and the associated deadlines.
  • Foster and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Foster and maintain healthy professional relationships with industry peers.
  • Being aware of themselves and those around them and act in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Adhere to the IMS Policies, Manuals and Procedures that are included in the IMS
  • Identify and report any hazards or risks.

Skills:

  • Experience leading and managing client and vendor teams
  • Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organisation, task prioritisation and scheduling
  • Excellent knowledge of Passive Infrastructure technology and equipment
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and capable of communicating highly technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Organisational knowledge and understanding of processes.
