My client is seeking a full time Housing Manager initially on a temporary basis, however the role could go permanent for the right candidate.
Purpose of Job:
- To be the face of the organisation, fostering a sense of community and engagement among residents.
- To be responsible for running the office and providing an effective and responsive service to all residents.
- To work under the direction of the Management Committee who will decide the policies and set its priorities and objectives.
- To lead, motivate, and inspire the staff team to achieve the aims and drive continuous improvement.
Housing Management:
- To manage rent payments and take appropriate action to recover arrears.
- To oversee arrange property viewings and accompany prospective tenants.
- To provide housing and benefit advice to residents.
- To address management problems such as noise complaints, anti-social behaviour, and parking issues.
- To issue transfer application forms and liaise with Wandsworth Council.
- To manage cases of squatted properties and advise tenants on Right to Buy schemes.
