Job Description

Our client are seeking a friendly, engaging and experienced Facilities Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Office. It will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, overseeing building maintenance, and will be responsible for contractor management and for fostering a safe and productive work environment.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting the business as a dynamic hub for training, collaboration, and external engagement. This includes ensuring the space is always visitor-ready, technically equipped, and safely maintained to host a variety of events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.

Main duties will cover:

Health & Safety Compliance - Ensure all office health and safety (H&S) standards meet current regulations & Maintain up-to-date risk assessments and H&S training records.

Centre Management - Ensure collaborative spaces are clean, well- equipped, and set up according to event or visitor requirements.

Building Maintenance - Conduct regular walk-rounds to identify maintenance needs.

Building Upgrades - Act as main on-site contact for project matters.

Reception - Responsible for ensuring daily reception cover

Security - Responsible for ensuring daily security cover

Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an office or training centre setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance.
  • Experience managing contractors and building maintenance projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to anticipate issues before they arise and takes initiative to resolve them.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies, outages, or safety incidents with calm and control.
  • Maintains high standards in safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
