Self-employed Live-In Care Assistant required for an elderly lady living with dementia.
I am seeking a kind, patient, and experienced live-in caregiver to provide dedicated care for a lovely lady living in her own home in Cheshire east area.
The Role
This is a full-time, live-in position designed to help our family member maintain her independence, dignity, and quality of life in a familiar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dementia Support: Providing gentle guidance, managing confusion or anxiety, and engaging in stimulating memory activates.
- Personal Care: Assisting with morning and evening routines, bathing, dressing, and continence care.
- Medication Management: Ensuring prescribed medications are taken safely and on time.
- Meal Preparation: Cooking nutritious, home-cooked meals and encouraging hydration.
- Domestic Support: Light housekeeping, laundry, household plants/ garden and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
- Companionship: Offering warm conversation, days out, home activates, and accompanying her on short walks
