We’re looking for an ambitious and creative Head Chef to join the launch of an exciting new restaurant concept in London. This is an opportunity to be involved from the very beginning: shaping the culinary identity and menu, building the kitchen team, establishing operational standards, and growing alongside the brand as it expands.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience as a Head Chef in London, ideally within premium casual restaurant groups, multi-site brands or chains
- Has experience managing or playing a key role in launching high-volume, quality-driven restaurant operations
- Is creative, hands-on and commercially minded
- Has proven experience in menu development, recipe creation and food costing
- Has strong kitchen leadership skills and experience recruiting, training and developing kitchen teams
- Is experienced in creating, implementing SOPs, kitchen standards and operational procedures
- Understands food quality, consistency, presentation, portion control, stock management and waste reduction
- Can work closely with suppliers and support product selection and procurement
- Is comfortable with the pre-opening process, including kitchen setup, team recruitment, training and operational preparation
- Wants genuine creative input, ownership and influence over the culinary direction
- Is excited by the opportunity to help build a new concept and grow significantly alongside the brand
The role will include:
- Developing the culinary concept and menu
- Establishing recipes, specifications, presentation and quality standards
- Recruiting, training and leading the kitchen team
- Developing SOPs and kitchen operating procedures
- Managing food costs, portion control, waste and overall kitchen profitability
- Supporting supplier selection and product sourcing
- Leading the kitchen through the pre-opening and launch phase
