Job Description:
Support Vintage’s venture capital investment activity (fund of funds, directs, and secondaries), assisting with market research & mapping and deal due diligence across technology sectors and VC stages and strategies.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected managers in the industry and collaborate with leading companies across the global tech ecosystem, with a strong focus on Europe. You’ll be part of a small, nimble team where you’ll have significant ownership and influence, operating in an environment that values initiative and creativity. The role offers a truly entrepreneurial experience—combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution—within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support due diligence and evaluation of funds, secondary deals, and direct investments: market analysis, financial modelling, competitive benchmarking, and customer references, etc.
- Prepare investment cases, presentations and models for internal and external meetings, and contribute to fund reporting.
- Track companies and emerging trends across tech verticals.
- Contribute to portfolio company support and strategy reviews.
Candidate Profile & Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in venture capital, private/growth equity, strategy consulting, banking, or in a technology firm with high analytical rigor.
- Demonstrated passion for technology, startups, venture capital and public and private market trends. Prior tech-oriented experienced strongly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record; advanced degree (MSc, MBA) a plus but not required.
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Java a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for deal work and ecosystem engagement.
- Intellectual curiosity, self-direction, and comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment.
- High integrity and judgment, with strong cultural alignment to team values (supportive, proactive, humble, committed to excellence).
- Candidate should be UK-based with the right to work in the UK / does not require Visa sponsorship.
Additional Desired Skills
- Experience in cross-border investment or work in global VC/ Growth platforms advantageous.
- Technical proficiency (e.g., understanding SaaS metrics, technical due diligence) highly valued.
- Excellent proficiency in English a must. Multilingual abilities a plus due to pan-European reach.
