We are looking for a warm, proactive and reliable personal assistant/support worker to support a young woman with several health and mobility needs to live an active, meaningful life in her community.
Responsibilities
- Support her to take part in the activities she enjoys as well as build on her physical fitness. Regular activities include swimming, golf range, bowling and finding the best coffee shops in the area.
- As her Christian faith is an important part of her life, you would be supporting her to attend church services and midweek activities.
- Provide practical support with mobility as she uses a wheelchair, and support her psychologically and emotionally to transition into different parts of the day and keep her safe.
Schedule and Hours
Two week pattern: Week A — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10am–3pm; Thursday 10am–5pm. Week B — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10am–3pm; Thursday 5.45pm–9.45pm; Sunday 5.45pm–8.45pm. On occasions this may change, with plenty of notice given. The hours can be made flexible, which can be discussed at interview.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A driver is essential for this role to use the client’s own car.
- This job has a genuine occupational requirement as per Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010; therefore only applications from females are requested.
