Iβm recruiting an additional personal assistant to join my established care team in a long-term, one-to-one role supporting me at home in Thurnby, Leicestershire.
Iβm a tetraplegic woman in my early 40s and live with my husband, four-year-old child, and a dog in an active, friendly household. I work and study part-time from home, and life is varied β this is not a quiet or clinical environment.
The role
- Privately employed (PAYE β no agency or third-party involvement)
- Full-time or part-time options available
- Guaranteed hours
- (Flexibility for the right person to work days, evenings, nights, or a combination.)
- Bank holidays paid at time and a half
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata)
Duties include
- Personal care, including bowel and bladder management
- Hoist transfers (full training provided)
- Supporting daily routines
- Meal preparation and light domestic tasks
- Driving my wheelchair-accessible vehicle to appointments, work, and social activities
- Occasional travel and overnight stays
- Full driving licence
- Non-smoker (non-smoking home and role)
- Comfortable working in a home with a young child and a dog
- Good level of spoken English for clear communication and safety
- Reliable, calm, and happy working as part of a small team
No previous care experience required β full training provided.
