Looking for a Female Personal Assistant (Adult Social Carer) to assist me, a physically disabled 40 year old female, in my own home in Moseley. This role involves late afternoon and evening shifts, with a total of 10.5 hours per week. Shifts are typically spread over 3 or 4 days. There is flexibility over when hours are worked, but they must be in the late afternoons and evenings only. Occasionally there may be options for extra hours, but these are optional and not required.
Responsibilities
- Food preparation: cooking batch meals for freezer and heating up for dinner
- Household cleaning and general housekeeping tasks
- Occasional trips to the local shops to pick up a couple of items
- Answering the door and putting away food shopping delivery
- Occasional help with personal care (hair washing and dressing only)
- Help with small admin tasks when needed
- Assistance with caring for a pet hamster (no direct contact required with the hamster)
- Infrequent help with decorating the flat (e.g. Christmas decorations) and keeping it looking nice
- Watering plants
- Occasional help with packing and unpacking
- Putting medication in pill boxes
I am currently housebound, but if my health improves I may occasionally need help leaving my flat.
Schedule
10.5 hours per week, ideally split across 3 or 4 shifts in late afternoons and evenings. There is flexibility in when hours are worked, but they must be in late afternoons and evenings only. Option for extra hours may be available occasionally (not required).
