Personal Assistant (Job Reference: 68534/LS)

I am a retired woman and power chair user seeking two female Personal Assistants to support me in living independently and enhancing my quality of life. I live with a muscle-wasting condition that can vary in severity and often causes fatigue and pain, so you must be able to adapt to fluctuating health needs.

Responsibilities / What you will provide

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Light household tasks and meal preparation
  • Accompanying me to appointments, hydrotherapy sessions, and other outings
  • Assisting with day-to-day tasks as needed
  • Supporting medication routines (experience desirable; training can be provided if necessary)
  • A full driving licence and access to a car is preferred but not essential
  • There will be minimal weekend work required
  • References and a current full DBS check is essential

Details

  • Hours: up to 10–16 hours per week (times and days to be discussed)
  • Area: South Shields
  • Rates of pay: £13.50
  • Holidays: 5.6 weeks pro rata per annum. Bank holidays are usually honoured on a pro-rata basis (except in emergencies)
