A proactive and experienced Live-in Housekeeper / Nanny is required for a professional family of five based in Horsham, Southwater. This is a hands-on position covering all aspects of high standard housekeeping, as well as assisting with childcare. The successful applicant will be flexible, self-motivated and happy to adapt to the changing needs of the house, including occasional travel within Europe.
The family have three young children, cared for by their parents and a dedicated Nanny, and we are looking for someone who is child friendly and comfortable working as part of a collaborative household team. We are looking for someone who can take care of cleaning and act as a nanny whenever necessary, such as when the parents are unavailable.
Job duties:
- All standard housekeeping duties, including cleaning, tidying and organisation
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care. Although a girl helps taking care of the washing and ironing four days a week.
- Help in the kitchen to cook for the children on weekends when needed.
- Supporting the smooth running of the household
- Working collaboratively with the full-time Nanny and parents
- Willingness to help wherever needed
Candidates must be/have:
- Proven experience in a similar position within a private household
- Strong communication skills
- Physically fit, energetic and hands-on
- Child-friendly and comfortable around young children
- Flexible, adaptable and willing to travel when required
- Approachable, discreet and happy to become part of the family.
Accommodation: A private room with private bathroom in a staff house with all accommodations to be shared with the nanny.
Hours: Full-time, six days per week. Working days / days off will vary. Flexible hours starting from 07:30 with an extended scheduled break during the day. Applicants must have a degree of flexibility to suit the family's schedule.
