Female Personal Assistant Job Description
Looking for a couple more part-time members for a PA team. No care experience necessary. Also looking for bank, ad hoc holiday and illness cover, with no regular shifts. The regular positions available are either two part time or one full time and one part time.
The job is to help a disabled woman in her thirties including household tasks, help managing her illnesses and some personal care.
The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of duties including personal care, medication management, housekeeping, and communication with healthcare professionals. Those without care experience but who are competent, organised and proactive with common sense are encouraged to apply. Experience running a household or holding a responsible position is a plus.

No care experience required. Location is Saltaire, BD18.
Responsibilities:
* Providing personal care assistance, including washing, dressing, and oral hygiene
* Administering medication and monitoring medication supply
* Undertaking general housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, organising, vegetarian meal planning and cooking (vegetarian cook books available!)
* Liaising with medical professionals via phone and email and other administrative tasks
* Flexible and open to covering other PAs\’ illness and holidays etc.
* Other duties as required
Benefits: PAYE £15 ph, holiday pay, and pension (directly employed, no agency)
Shifts available include days, evenings and sleep-in night cover seven days per week. Part time roles available, minimum two shifts a week.
Typical shift times:
8:30am – 6pm
6pm – 11pm
Sleeping nights – 11pm – 8:30am (paid differently)
Also looking for bank staff (as needed cover for illness/holidays)
The ideal candidate:
* Women only (as the job requires personal care, this is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)
* LGBTQ friendly
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to communicate professionally and very clearly
* Flexibility, common sense and willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Can-do attitude and common sense
* No experience needed – those with institutional care experience may find they have to learn a new way of working
* Experience in running a household desirable
* Reliable, organised and trustworthy – being on time is important
* Very strong spoken and written English
* Willing to undergo a DBS check, though only convictions relevant to the specific job role will be taken into account
* Authorised to work in the UK
* Skill at writing complaint letters and other documentation a plus!
