We are looking for a reliable and proactive nanny housekeeper to help care for and maintain our second home. The house will be used both by our family and, at other times, rented to guests as a holiday rental. This is a dual-purpose role. 25hrs/wk guaranteed. Starting August 1st.
When we are in residence, you will be working as our nanny housekeeper, caring for our three children and managing the smooth running of the household. When the property is let to guests through a luxury holiday rental agency, you will manage the property’s presentation, changeovers, and day-to-day upkeep throughout guests' stays.
The successful candidate will need to be locally based in or around Poole, Dorset and comfortable with a varied schedule.
Duties and responsibilities:- Daily cleaning and tidying of the house
- Laundry, washing and ironing
- Making and changing beds
- Keeping bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas clean and organised
- Emptying/loading the dishwasher and general kitchen tidying
- Helping with breakfast or simple food preparation
- Supporting with childcare where needed
- Helping keep children’s areas, toys and clothes organised
- General household support to keep the home running smoothly
- Lighting fires and using the coffee machine (training course available)
- Help with family events from time to time
- Preparing the house before guests' arrival
- Checking that the property is clean, tidy and guest ready
- Likely daily visits during guest stays to clean, tidy and refresh house as agreed
- Keeping kitchens, bathrooms and communal areas presentable
- Reporting any damage, missing items, maintenance issues or guest related concerns
- Restocking household basics where required
- Helping with changeovers between guest stays - linens/towels etc
- Co-ordinate other contractors - gardener, pool cleaner, window cleaner
- Ensure pool, outdoor kitchen and sauna are being maintained to a high standard
- Experienced in housekeeping, cleaning and laundry
- Comfortable working in a high-end property with an eye for detail
