How to prepare for a job interview at Private Equity Insights (London)

Know Your Conferences

Before the interview, dive deep into the specifics of the conferences the company runs. Familiarise yourself with their past events, themes, and any notable speakers or attendees. This shows your genuine interest and helps you speak confidently about how you can contribute to their success.

Showcase Your Organisational Skills

As a Conference Executive, being organised is key. Prepare examples from your past experiences where you successfully managed multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your responses and highlight your ability to keep everything on track.

Demonstrate Your Negotiation Skills

Since supplier management is a big part of the role, be ready to discuss any experiences you have in negotiating contracts or managing vendor relationships. If you don’t have direct experience, think of situations where you had to persuade someone or find a compromise—this will show your potential in this area.

Emphasise Your Team Spirit

The company values collaboration, so be prepared to talk about how you work within a team. Share stories that illustrate your ability to support colleagues, manage volunteers, or lead a group towards a common goal. Highlighting your interpersonal skills will resonate well with the entrepreneurial spirit they’re looking for.
