A passionate and knowledgeable full time resident gardener is wanted to join a small team maintaining an impressive private estate garden in the Scottish Highlands. The walled garden features herbaceous borders, formal areas, hedging and a small flower and herb garden. The estate also has a greenhouse with an extensive orchid collection. Primary duties include careful attention to the flower garden, 2 acre walled garden and greenhouse plus exterior management of grounds and garden in a family campus of approximately 200 acres., * Comprehensive plant knowledge and curiosity to continuously learn.
Horticultural qualification (minimum NVQ Level 2 / RHS Level 2) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience using and maintaining garden tools and machinery.
Environmentally and ecologically aware.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Motivated, proactive, flexible, and reliable, with an eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a friendly and professional family environment.
Full and clean UK driving license.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm working hours.
30 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays).
£30,000 annual salary plus accomodation
Attractive modern (new build) cottage on the estate will be provided.
