Job Summary
The successful candidate will take on responsibility for the Fostering Service. The primary focus is to oversee a stable, sizeable service, focusing on safeguarding, Ofsted excellence, and high-level decision-making.
Key Aspects of the Role
- Acting as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring all activities meet the Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
- Driving service improvement and maintaining 'Outstanding' standards.
- Promoting a values-driven environment that supports staff well-being, high-quality supervision, and foster carer retention.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the response to serious allegations and complex safeguarding issues with confident, expert decision-making.
- Drive performance management across the staff group to elevate the team's capabilities.
- Oversee the professional development of a geographically dispersed team.
- Participate in a senior-tier management on-call rota (secondary support only).
Requirements
- Qualifications: A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/DipSW) and current registration with Social Work England.
- Certification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or a willingness to attain this upon registration).
- Experience: Significant senior management experience within an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA), including at least 3 years of fostering experience within the last 5 years.
- Skills: A proven track record of managing managers and leading large teams with remote workers with a strong history of successful Ofsted inspections.
Compensation: Salary up to £90,000 per annum plus a £5,050 car allowance.
Leave: 38 days annual leave (inclusive of Public Holidays) plus a paid day off for your birthday.

Security: Life Assurance (up to 3x salary) and a competitive company pension scheme.
