We are seeking a visionary and child-centric Registered Manager to spearhead an IFA’s East region operations from the Thetford office. This pivotal leadership role is designed for a professional dedicated to transforming the outcomes of children and young people through a therapeutic and innovative lens. Acting as a cornerstone of the regional leadership team, the successful candidate will foster a culture of integrity, courage, and care, ensuring that every child in their remit reaches their full potential.
Job Summary
- Strategic Leadership: Leading a multidisciplinary team of Operations Managers, Social Workers, and support staff to deliver operational excellence across the East region.
- Operational Management: Overseeing the regional business plan, including financial performance, KPI management, and growth strategies.
- People Development: Managing the team in a therapeutic and supportive manner, focusing on unlocking the potential and ability of existing staff.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that child protection and safeguarding practices are deeply embedded and consistently applied across all regional activities.
- Regional Growth: Driving carer recruitment and retention initiatives to expand the reach and impact of the fostering service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high-level supervision and support to the regional social work team to maintain high performance and morale.
- Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Fostering to align regional activities with the wider organisational goals.
- Monitor and manage regional budgets and financial outputs to ensure sustainable service delivery.
- Implement and oversee robust safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in care.
- Lead on the recruitment and retention of foster carers, meeting specific growth targets and KPIs.
- Facilitate national travel to various offices for meetings, training, and cross-regional support.
- Ensure all practice meets or exceeds regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
Requirements
- Qualification: A recognised Degree in Social Work and current professional registration.
- Experience: Proven track record in a leadership role within a fostering environment, with experience in managing growth-focused KPIs.
- Skills: Strong people person capabilities with a therapeutic approach to management.
- Logistics: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for regional and national travel.
- Compliance: Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
