About the Role
We are a high-growth, high-traffic eCommerce group operating at regional scale, serving millions of users and processing large transaction volumes annually. As part of our long-term executive leadership strategy, we are appointing a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will relocate to Kuwait and assume full ownership of the company’s technology vision, execution, and scalability. This is not a remote role, not a consulting mandate, and not a short-term engagement. This is a true C-suite role with board visibility, strategic autonomy, and long-term impact.
What You Will Own
- End-to-end ownership of technology strategy, execution, and governance
- Leadership of all technological functions, including:
- Software Engineering
- Infrastructure & Cloud
- DevOps, SRE, Security, and Data Platforms
- High-availability, high-traffic consumer platforms
- Cloud-native, microservices-based ecosystems
- Scalable data and analytics platforms
- SDLC, quality, security, observability, and cost discipline
- Reliability, uptime, and incident management standards
Who We Are Looking For
Must-Have
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering & technology leadership
- Prior experience as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or equivalent senior role
- Proven track record leading platforms with:
- Millions of users and/or transactions
- Mission-critical uptime and peak-traffic demands
- Cloud-native architecture (AWS)
- Distributed systems and scalable platform design
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, fintech, logistics, or consumer platforms
- Experience scaling technology organizations across multiple regions
- Exposure to hyper-growth, IPO-readiness, or regulated environments
