About the Role

We are a high-growth, high-traffic eCommerce group operating at regional scale, serving millions of users and processing large transaction volumes annually. As part of our long-term executive leadership strategy, we are appointing a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will relocate to Kuwait and assume full ownership of the company’s technology vision, execution, and scalability. This is not a remote role, not a consulting mandate, and not a short-term engagement. This is a true C-suite role with board visibility, strategic autonomy, and long-term impact.

What You Will Own

  • End-to-end ownership of technology strategy, execution, and governance
  • Leadership of all technological functions, including:
  • Software Engineering
  • Infrastructure & Cloud
  • DevOps, SRE, Security, and Data Platforms
  • Defining and evolving the enterprise-grade architecture for:
    • High-availability, high-traffic consumer platforms
    • Cloud-native, microservices-based ecosystems
    • Scalable data and analytics platforms
  • Establishing technology governance frameworks, including:
    • SDLC, quality, security, observability, and cost discipline
    • Reliability, uptime, and incident management standards
  • Building and scaling world-class engineering leadership:
    • Org design, succession planning, and leadership development
    • Hiring senior technical leaders and top engineering talent
  • Acting as a strategic partner to the Board, CEO, and Executive Committee
  • Supporting IPO-readiness / enterprise governance where applicable
  • Who We Are Looking For

    Must-Have

    • 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering & technology leadership
    • Prior experience as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or equivalent senior role
    • Proven track record leading platforms with:
    • Millions of users and/or transactions
    • Mission-critical uptime and peak-traffic demands
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Cloud-native architecture (AWS)
    • Distributed systems and scalable platform design
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to operate at Board and C-suite level
  • Willingness to relocate to Kuwait on a long-term basis
  • Nice-to-Have

    • Experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, fintech, logistics, or consumer platforms
    • Experience scaling technology organizations across multiple regions
    • Exposure to hyper-growth, IPO-readiness, or regulated environments
