A busy household is looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable housekeeper to maintain the smooth running of the home. The property has a gardener and part-time PA. The home and gardens host several charitable events each year, along with a variety of social events and dinner parties. The owner also has a small travel business, so she will be away at times.

The role:

  • 3 mornings a week, days can be flexible.
  • General cleaning
  • Room cleaning (making beds, changing linens, and ensuring rooms are tidy and organised for visiting guests).
  • Bathroom cleaning (cleaning toilets, sinks, showers and baths and restocking toiletries).
  • Kitchen Cleaning (washing dishes, loading dishwasher, cleaning worktops and appliances and wiping down surfaces).
  • Laundry (washing, drying, folding and some ironing).
  • Cooking (batch cooking, meal preparation and the occasional small dinner parties).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Running occasional, ad-hoc errands – a vehicle is available for use.
  • Welcoming guests, offering refreshments etc.
  • Maintaining well stocked cleaning supplies, pantry, kitchen supplies, toiletries.
  • Answering the phone and door.
  • Assistance with ad-hoc events.
  • Occasional dog care, including walking (2x Parson Jacks, 1x Dachshund).
  • Diary Management.
  • Occasional house sitting.

  • Flexibility.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Impeccable standards of housekeeping.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work well unsupervised.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
