Community Work Gardener

Experienced Gardener required (full-time) Salary depending on experience £26,000 – £28,000 pa A rare opportunity for a keen, fit, enthusiastic and knowledgeable gardener to join our team in a large respected and established, yet developing garden near Reading, Berkshire. Applicant would be self-motivated and have some experience and knowledge of gardening including some or all of the following:- the use of all types of machinery, including fine turf cylinder mowers, rotary mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters. A chainsaw certificate would be a bonus but not essential. They should have a broad knowledge of all fields of gardening including turf maintenance, herbaceous perennials, kitchen gardening, glasshouse production of houseplants, cut flowers etc and the maintenance of water features. They should be happy to work within our knowledgeable team and be confident to work alone, be presentable and experienced in working on a private estate with a clean driving license. On the job training is available. There is no accommodation but we offer a competitive salary, performance incentives and pension scheme for the right applicant.
