We are looking for a pragmatic and experienced Manager to join our Data Privacy Consulting Firm. This role is suited for a professional with significant experience in consulting or law firms, combined with in-house client-side expertise. The ideal candidate is well-versed in GDPR, global privacy laws, and consulting delivery models, with a strong track record in project management and business development. Fluency in English and at least one additional European language is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Engagement and Delivery:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering tailored privacy compliance solutions.
- Lead the development and implementation of privacy frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with GDPR and other global privacy regulations.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Regulatory Compliance Expertise:
- Provide expert advice on data protection regulations, including GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and related global standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, DPIAs, and compliance audits to address regulatory and business needs.
- Monitor changes in privacy legislation and advise clients on the potential impact.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring alignment with client and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution and operational efficiency.
Business Development and Client Acquisition:
- Identify opportunities for new business within existing and prospective clients.
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and contribute to revenue growth initiatives.
- Represent the firm in pitches, fostering trust and credibility with stakeholders.
Process Optimization and Consulting Model Delivery:
- Develop and refine consulting delivery models to ensure consistent client outcomes.
- Leverage tools, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability of services.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are advantageous.
Professional Experience:
- 4-8 years of experience in data privacy roles, including a mix of consulting or law firm work and in-house client-side roles.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale privacy compliance projects and leading client engagements.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and global data privacy frameworks.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Proven experience with business development, including preparing proposals and closing deals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in at least one other European language is required.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
