Job Description

Programme Integration Manager

Are you ready to take a leading role in one of the UK’s most exciting aerospace development programmes? At Prismatic, we are looking for a highly capable Programme Integration Manager to oversee and synchronise all facets of the PHASA-35 development programme—our pioneering high-altitude, solar-powered aircraft. In this role, you will lead and develop the Prismatic project management team, aligning them around a shared vision of delivery excellence. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as the strategic force behind the integration of cross-functional activities, ensuring coordination across engineering, manufacturing, planning, commercial, and flight operations. Your work will underpin the programme’s success and shape the future of aerospace technology.

Why This Role? As the Programme Integration Manager for PHASA-35, you will be the connective tissue across the organisation—aligning programme objectives, eliminating silos, and orchestrating the smooth delivery of major milestones. While, at the same time, leading Prismatic’s project management professionals, enabling them to deliver with precision and impact. You will shape and mature our delivery frameworks, coach emerging leaders, and ensure consistent project performance that delivers on time, on budget, and to scope.

What We Offer: This is a hybrid position based in our Alton facility in Hampshire, offering a dynamic mix of on-site leadership and flexible working. You will be expected to be office-based a minimum of three days per week to effectively lead your team and engage cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Project Management Function: Directly manage, mentor, and grow the Prismatic project management team, building a high-performance culture rooted in ownership, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Integrate Cross-Functional Activities: Oversee programme-wide integration across Engineering, Manufacturing and Flight Operations teams ensuring that your project managers are integrated into all workstreams with clarity of purpose and shared milestones.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment: Align project activities with overall programme goals, providing guidance and decision-making support to your team and cross-discipline leaders.
  • Govern Programme Delivery: Maintain effective governance routines, including programme reviews, performance tracking, and decision-making forums that support on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Own Configuration Control: Lead your team in maintaining strict configuration and change control across project artefacts, enabling informed and agile decision-making.
  • Mitigate Risk Proactively: Identify risks across teams and work packages, alongside developing resolution plans that protect the integrity of the programme.
  • Control Programme Configuration: Maintain configuration control of programme artefacts, such as schedules, baselines, change logs, and risk registers, adapting as needed for evolving requirements.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Introduce and embed programme management best practices and digital toolsets, driving efficiency and excellence across the delivery ecosystem.

Who You Are: We are looking for a systems thinker, strategic planner, and exceptional organiser who can navigate the complexity of large-scale engineering programmes with clarity and confidence.

Ideal Attributes:

  • Inspirational People Leader: You thrive on leading and enabling others, with a track record of building capable, motivated project teams.
  • Strategic Orchestrator: You have a natural ability to see the bigger picture, identify interdependencies, and bring clarity to complexity.
  • Clear Communicator: Your written and verbal communication skills enable you to unify cross-functional teams and drive alignment at all levels.
  • Results-Focused Leader: You have a proven ability to deliver programme goals through methodical planning, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring.
  • Trusted Collaborator: You build strong relationships with stakeholders across disciplines and levels of seniority, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Change Agent: You advocate for continuous improvement and embrace opportunities to refine processes and optimise delivery.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • A proven background in programme or project integration and programme controls.
  • Experience managing complex engineering or aerospace programmes, ideally with exposure to the development phase.
  • Strong working knowledge of programme management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience facilitating programme reviews, driving inter-departmental collaboration, and managing dependencies.
  • Recognised qualification in programme/project management (e.g., APM PMQ, MSP, PRINCE2, or PMI PMP) is highly desirable.
  • At Prismatic, you will be working on a truly cutting-edge platform with a passionate, mission-driven team. If you are ready to lead, innovate, and shape the future of aerospace integration, we would love to hear from you. CV and covering letters to jobs@prismaticltd.co.uk. No recruiters please.
