Role Overview
To provide support to the Director of Health and Safety in the delivery of Health and Safety Management across the group to help ensure a culture of best practice health and safety across the business and property portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory regime.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Contribute to the delivery of safety and health management and safety culture
- Undertake health and safety inspections and audits of Grainger's sites
- Produce audit reports, communicate the findings and monitor action plans
- Provide health and safety advice and guidance to colleagues and contribute to problem solving
- Present face to face/online health and safety training to colleagues
- Coordinate health and safety internal audit and risk management processes
- Provide face to face DSE assessments and follow up actions
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and experience of using health, safety management systems
- Excellent knowledge of managing spreadsheets, databases and managing data and producing reports
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
