You will join a global Managed Services and Infrastructure team (2000 employees globally with a team of 10 in Ireland, growing month-by-month), responsible for securing large-scale software platforms used across healthcare, financial services and government environments worldwide.
This is a senior-level network security engineering role focused on designing and standardising security controls across hybrid cloud, multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and datacentre environments (mainly Linux). A big part of the role is helping shape how network security is delivered globally as the business continues moving from traditional hosted infrastructure into cloud and SaaS platforms.
You will work closely with network, cloud and platform engineering teams to improve segmentation, secure connectivity and zero trust adoption across the wider estate. The role combines architecture, engineering and operational ownership, with responsibility for troubleshooting high-severity network security issues when required.
There are two huge projects that you'll be involved in:
- Palo Alto - global standardisation project
- Work with the newly created cloud team who are architecting a Kubernetes multi-cloud environment. You will be the network authority here so experience of networking within public cloud environments will be really key for success here. Exposure to any AWS, Azure, GCP will be OK.
