We're working with a consumer FinTech scale-up in London helping people buy their first home, refinance, and move up the property ladder. Around 200 people strong with a tech team of 20, they're entering a new phase of growth where the focus is shifting toward building standout consumer experiences alongside the financial infrastructure already in place.
They're hiring a Head of Front-End Engineering to lead and grow the front end capability across the business. You'll manage a team of 3 engineers while staying hands-on, around 75% coding, delivery and technical leadership alongside ownership of front-end standards, processes and team growth.
The front-end team works across two core products, each comprising multiple sub-products. As a result, you and your team will manage a range of applications and services, making this a varied and stimulating role with exposure to diverse challenges and technologies.
This role needs someone who can build stronger engineering practices, improve delivery and establish front end as a real strength within the organisation. You'll sit alongside engineering, data and security leadership, playing a central role in how products get built.
