My client provides impartial legal advice in the real estate sector, and for the first time they are building meaningful income independence. The strategy commits them to generating a meaningful share of their income independently within a few years, with a credible path to roughly a third by the early 2030s, drawn from accredited professional training, data and insight services, commissioned research and sector subscriptions.

None of that comes at the expense of their public purpose, and they will never charge consumers for advice they have a right to access for free. You'd be helping turn that commercial strategy from a plan on paper into something actionable.

You report directly to the Chief Executive and work across the Legal, Digital, Data and Business Management teams. Your early focus is commercial development, the events programme, and the operational foundations underneath both.

What They're Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
  • A commercial, consultancy, operational, governance or legal background
  • Market research skills
  • Budget management
  • Process and workflow design capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What You'll Work With
  • Income-generating events end to end (roundtables, conferences, webinars and professional briefings)
  • Sponsorship and engagement with professional bodies and the wider sector
  • Partnerships and co-endorsement arrangements with sector partners and public-sector users
  • Supplier and contract management
  • Commercial budget planning, tracking income and costs against plan, and management reporting to the CEO and senior team
Nice to Haves
  • Experience delivering events, partnerships or commercial products
  • Understanding of the public sector, arm's-length bodies or Managing Public Money principles
  • Basic awareness of employment or people practices
  • Interest in, or knowledge of, the leasehold and commonhold sector
Why Join

You'd be at the centre of an organisation building its own commercial independence from a standing start, which is rare. The work is concrete: you own the events programme outright, you scope and test new income lines, and you build the operational clarity that makes commercial delivery dependable. Reporting straight to the CEO gives you senior exposure most people at this level don't get, and the role is deliberately structured to grow underneath you as you prove out.

Do Not Apply If:
  • You do not have the right to work in the UK
  • You have no past commercial strategy experience in some capacity
  • You have only worked in large, established private sector firms
  • You have not had any form of experience in the public sector, not-for-profit organisations, or any form of volunteering/fundraising/charity experience
Employee Benefits
  • ~ Circa £50,000 salary, based on experience
  • ~10% non-contributory pension
  • ~27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • ~35 hour week with flexi-working
  • ~ One professional subscription paid
  • ~ Hybrid working and openness to full-time, flexible and job-share applicants
  • ~ A friendly, supportive culture

If this is your kind of role, apply and I'll give you a call to talk through the detail.
