Overview

Lead Software Engineer | React & Node.js | SaaS House

Remote First, Head Office based in Berkshire.

Prism Digital has partnered with a UK/US-based company that creates a suite of SaaS Data Visualisation tools which plug into various applications and cloud/infrastructure environments. The tool provides data visualisation capabilities similar to DataDog and Prometheus, with value adds over competitors.

This role reports to the Director of Engineering; you will mentor a team of four engineers and lead prototyping of new products the company continuously develops.

The role is slightly more frontend-leaning, but profiles with backend focus are welcome as long as most work is on the frontend (approximately 60% frontend, 40% backend).

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and lead a team of four engineers (2 developers / 2 QAs).
  • Prototype and lead development of new products and features.
  • Collaborate on frontend-focused work while able to handle backend tasks as needed.
  • Influence UX/UI and how customers interact with the SaaS application.

Key requirements

  • React
  • Node.js
  • Experience in a SaaS product company (ideally smaller-sized)
  • Excellent communication and a solid educational background
  • Ability to lead a team (gravitas to command respect through experience and coding skills)

Having held a lead/manager title is not essential if you have demonstrated leadership experience and the gravitas to lead teams, including developers with 10+ years of experience.
