The role involves leading operational IT across 6 venues and 2 offices, supporting approximately 300+ users and complex EPoS and telephony environments. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will align technology operations with business priorities while raising standards across service delivery, cyber security, and vendor governance.
Your immediate focus will be:
- Maturing IT Service Management – bringing structure, consistency, and unified reporting across fragmented tooling.
- Strengthening Cyber Security & Compliance – leading Cyber Essentials re-certification, overseeing PCI/DSS, and improving risk posture.
- Driving Operational Resilience across live, customer-facing venues.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading IT Operations, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Project functions.
- Managing internal managers, engineers, and third-party partners.
- Implementing and embedding robust ITSM frameworks and SLA governance.
- Creating clearer operational reporting and performance visibility.
- Owning a £3m+ technology budget, challenging suppliers and driving value.
- Overseeing vendor relationships including MSPs and infrastructure partners.
- Leading cyber security governance, audits, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Acting as the primary technology partner to senior business stakeholders.
- Ensuring technology and business strategies remain aligned.
Operational Environment includes:
- Microsoft 365 / Azure / Freshdesk / Acronis / EPoS platforms / Telephony systems / Multi-site infrastructure estates.
