Head of Penetration Testing, Europe | PTaaS Leadership | Platform-Powered Red Teaming

A high-growth, venture-backed security SaaS company is hiring a Head of Penetration Testing to lead their European Labs team , the technical powerhouse behind one of the world’s most advanced Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) platforms.

This isn’t consultancy. This is automated, scalable offensive security , delivered through a platform that Fortune 500s and global banks rely on to understand how they’d be compromised today, not once a year, but continuously.

If you\'re passionate about pushing the limits of red teaming, building productised security capabilities, and leading a team that thinks and operates like a real APT group, this could be the perfect next move.

What You\'ll Be Doing

  • Lead the European offensive security function, managing a team of expert red teamers and researchers operating like an elite adversary group
  • Work closely with enterprise clients including CISOs and security leads to help them adopt and operationalise the platform. You’ll explain threats, tactics, and platform findings in a commercially relevant way
  • Guide the team in identifying and developing high-impact offensive techniques that matter — not just what’s exploitable, but what’s material to business risk
  • Feed real-world adversary tactics into the platform to create repeatable, automated red team behaviours that scale
  • Collaborate with backend engineers and product teams to evolve how offensive security is delivered as a service, replacing repetitive testing with intelligent automation
  • Champion a culture of innovation, experimentation, and technical depth across the Labs team

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership in an offensive security team, ideally with a background in red teaming, adversary simulation, or exploit research
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security architectures and modern attack surfaces
  • Experience engaging with CISOs and senior stakeholders, with the ability to translate technical threats into strategic insight
  • Passion for building systems and techniques that scale, ideally in a SaaS or product-led environment
  • A self-driven leader who’s excited by the mission of turning red teaming into a product
  • Certifications like CCT or CCSAS are welcome, but deep practical experience matters more

Why This Role?

  • Be at the heart of a platform-first red teaming transformation, shaping how offensive security is delivered
  • Join a Labs team that operates like an APT group and powers a platform trusted by the world’s most targeted companies
  • Influence product direction by turning field tactics into automated, scalable attack capabilities
  • Work alongside a respected team whose research is featured across the security community and global media
  • Step into a strategic leadership role during a high-growth phase, with genuine impact on the company’s trajectory

What’s on Offer

  • £100,000 to £140,000 base (flexible for exceptional candidates)
  • Pension contribution
  • Private health insurance
  • Fully remote across UK or Europe (UK-based only, no visa sponsorship)
  • Access to cutting-edge tooling and equipment

This is the future of red teaming — persistent, automated, adversarial thinking at scale. Want to lead it?
