You'll take sales and marketing, two functions that still run on manual graft, and rebuild them as systems.
Once those run without you holding them up, you'll do the same to whichever part of the business is losing the most hours.
That is the seat, and it is an engineering one pointed at go-to-market.
You are not here to run demos or write integration docs.
You are here to build the systems the commercial team, and eventually the whole company, runs on.
The company is an early-stage, AI-native software business in London, already live and generating revenue with customers across the UK.
The team is small and AI-augmented, running much of its week through agentic workflows, and you'll report straight to the founders.
Your first focus is revenue: the systems behind lead generation and pipeline, so sales starts each day on the best data available and can act in seconds rather than assemble it themselves.
Your users sit next to you, so watch the real workflow, ship something rough in days, then harden what earns its place.
LLMs are your default tool: you'll work in Claude and Claude Code daily, wiring tools together over MCP and APIs and writing code where it's the right answer.
You're a builder first and commercially minded: you care that pipeline moved, not that the workflow was elegant.
- Non-Negotiables
- Production code experience (Python, Type Script or similar), comfortable with APIs and data, and able to query a database yourself
- 2-5+ years' experience
- A strong degree in a technical subject (engineering, maths, computer science, physics or similar) from a leading Russell Group university, or the international equivalent
- LLMs beyond prompting: agents, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, or unattended workflows, with evidence Automation you built that a business relied on, ideally in sales or marketing
- Commercial instinct: you can tell a metric moving from a metric mattering
- Data-quality work: enrichment, matching, deduplication, and spotting a dataset that's lying to you
- What You'll Work With
- Claude and Claude Code, daily
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) and APIs to wire tools together
- Enrichment and go-to-market tooling (Clay, Apollo or similar)
- CRM automation, analytics and channel-level reporting
- Commercial data handled properly under UK GDPR
- Nice to Haves
- Background as a technical product manager, forward-deployed or solutions engineer, in growth engineering or revenue operations, or as a technical founder
- Building on the Claude API or agent frameworks
- B2B Saa S sold to SMEs, or a vertical market with non-technical, time-poor buyers
- Why Join
You’ll build the tools that decide how fast this business takes its market, rather than one feature inside a product.
You start in sales and marketing, then automate wherever you find the next win, working directly with the founders on a team small enough to see what you shipped this week.
There's real room to grow, deeper into growth engineering or broader into owning automation across the company as it scales.
