You will play a key role in shaping the infrastructure strategy that underpins a global payments platform used by individuals, SMEs and multinational organisations. In this position, you will lead architectural direction across a hybrid environment, ensuring the on-premises and cloud platforms that support high-volume transaction processing, risk analytics and regulatory workflows are robust, scalable and aligned with long-term business goals.
You will own the infrastructure roadmap, establish standards and patterns, and partner closely with engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-performing systems across the organisation’s international footprint.
What They’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
- Extensive experience architecting infrastructure across private cloud and on-premises environments
- Deep understanding of container ecosystems and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware)
- Strong IaC capabilities with an automation-first approach
- Broad networking expertise across physical, virtual and container-based environments (routing, switching, SDN, overlays)
- Exposure to AWS or similar cloud platforms, including hybrid integration patterns
- Ability to create infrastructure roadmaps and introduce standards for complex, regulated environments
- Clear communication skills to explain technical decisions and influence a wide range of stakeholders
