Product Marketing Lead | Messaging, Positioning & Content | Award-Winning Observability Saa S
- Salary: £80,000, plus up to 10% annual bonus
- Location: remote (UK), with optional hub access and a few team gatherings across the year
- Individual contributor role, reporting directly to the CEO
I'm working with an award-winning UK software company in the observability and IT monitoring space.
They're remote-first, well-established, and consistently rated one of the best tech employers in the country.
The product has found its market, and now they want someone to own how it's talked about.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting straight to the CEO, who has been covering product marketing himself and is handing it over so it gets proper focus.
You'll own messaging, positioning and content for their cloud product: website copy, booth messaging for the big trade events, social and sales enablement.
He sets the strategy.
You turn it into words the audience actually reads.
- What They're Looking For
- Tech or Saa S experience: enough to talk credibly to a technical audience
- Writing: strong across website, blog, social, email and presentations
- Messaging and positioning: turning what a product does into language people read
- Product understanding: at concept and feature level, no coding needed
- AI fluency: using it as a working tool to produce sharp content faster, without the robot tone
- Strong opinions held lightly: the CEO owns the vision, you execute it
- What You'll Work With
- The cloud product: observability and monitoring for Dev Ops, IT and SRE teams
- Audiences: enterprise IT first, then Dev Ops, SRE and MSP teams
- Channels: website, trade-event booths, webinars, social and sales enablement
- Close partners: the CEO, the Director of Growth Marketing, product, Dev Rel and sales
- Co-marketing: talking points and joint content with technology partners
- Nice to Haves
- Background in observability, monitoring, Dev Ops, MSP or infrastructure tooling
- Time in a smaller Saa S business rather than a big-brand marketing machine
- Experience working directly with a technical audience: support or product roles count
- Some longevity in previous roles
- Why Join
You're taking product marketing off the CEO's plate, so you own it from day one.
This is not a strategy seat.
He sets the vision, and you'll get pushback if the work drifts from it, so you need to be happy running with someone else's direction.
Standards are high.
- A voice with personality: interesting and a bit rough around the edges beats polished and forgettable
- Room to grow: as the function builds out, Dev Rel may come to report into this role
- The environment: remote-first, low-ego and values-led, with proper away days through the year
- Employee Benefits
- Up to 10% annual bonus
- 25 days holiday, plus your birthday off
- Private medical care
- Strong pension contributions
- Life insurance
- Learning and development budget
- Home office setup allowance
- Three paid volunteering days a year
- Remote-first working, with optional hub access and team gatherings across the year
If this is your kind of role, apply and I'll give you a call.
