The platform has grown rapidly, leading to integration challenges across services. The new Principal Architect will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for:
- Making the current state legible
- Defining the future direction
- Helping teams achieve their goals without slowing down delivery
This role requires both architectural leadership and engineering depth:
- Documenting a complex multi-team estate
- Defining integration standards and target states
- Driving down technical debt
- Building a roadmap for multiple engineering teams
- Engaging in hands-on engineering work
Key skills required:
- Platform-wide architecture leadership
- Current and target-state architecture documentation
- Integration standards and governance
- Technical debt reduction and multi-year roadmaps
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- System design for distributed, end-to-end platforms
