My client is a cloud consultancy with nearly two decades of experience helping organisations modernise their infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud. The role is to be their outbound motion. You will be generating and qualifying leads, managing inbound enquiries, running outreach campaigns, and keeping the pipeline healthy and well-reported. Their target audience is technical buyers. Knowing how to speak to that audience, or being willing to learn quickly, will matter.
The sales tooling is modern and AI-assisted, and they will train you up in the first couple of weeks, so comfort with tech and a genuine curiosity about how these tools work is more important than having used every platform before.
What They're Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads and book qualified meetings
- Confident qualifying prospects using BANT (budget, authority, need, timescale)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable on the phone
- Tech-savvy, or genuinely curious about technology
- This role will be very call focussed, so it is essential to be willing and able to conduct calls as part of your daily sales routine.
What You'll Work With
- Apollo
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- LI Automation tools
- HubSpot
- Slack
Nice to Haves
- Previous experience in a sales or SDR/BDR role
- Familiarity with cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure concepts
- Experience with any CRM or sales engagement platform
- It's ok to never have worked a traditional sales role before, but if that is the case, you must have some proof of having sold something before, such as commission based hospitality, enterprise, or anywhere else you've had to implement sales skills to succeed.
Why Join / Projects
You'll be joining a small team, seven people, which means you will actually matter here from day one. This role is fully flexible on timing. Most people work 9-5, but you may choose to work a compressed work week, or work those hours at any time of day you like. If you wish to start at 7am and finish at 3pm, or start at 3pm and finish at 11pm, or start at 9am, take 2 hours out and finish at 7pm, no one will stop you as long as you do your work. Other than that, you'll have an upskilling budget, real commission, and a clear career progression if you show consistent competence in the role. The KPIs are clear and achievable, with a guaranteed bonus per qualified meeting you book which sits.
Employee Benefits
- £30,000 base salary
- 10% commission on closed deals
- Cash bonus per qualified meeting attended
- Generous employer pension contribution
- Remote-first, flexible and compressed working hours available
- AWS certification access
- Upskilling and training budget
- Clear progression pathway
Worth a conversation if this sounds like the kind of environment you want to cut your teeth in. Apply and I'll give you a call.
