Hybrid working (1 day a week in Milton Keynes)
The Role
Youll join a large, well-established property group undergoing a major data transformation, as they invest heavily in building a modern, cloud-based data platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will help shape and scale the organisations data capabilities, supporting a wide network of brands and business units. Youll be part of a newly forming data platform team (5 engineers + 1 lead), with the opportunity to influence architecture, tooling, and best practices from an early stage.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build and evolve a scalable cloud data platform
- Deliver Platform as Code using modern infrastructure tooling
- Manage platform performance, capacity, and availability
- Own incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineers and third-party providers to mature the platform
- Contribute to monitoring, observability, and cost optimisation strategies
- Support projects and business initiatives through robust platform delivery
