We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Project Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, within the energy and infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting operational activities, ensuring the seamless planning, coordination, and delivery of projects in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
As a key liaison between engineering, operations, suppliers, and stakeholders, the Project Engineer will oversee surveying, estimating, scheduling, and resource planning to meet project objectives. This role requires strong organisational skills, technical understanding, and excellent communication abilities.
The Project Engineer will also support safety and compliance activities, monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimise project performance.
- Proven experience in a construction, operations, or coordination role, preferably within offshore wind or energy sectors.
- Solid understanding of project life-cycle stages and operational environments.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and multitasking skills with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with planning tools, document control systems, and procurement platforms is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Experience supporting technical documentation, work packs, drawings, and permits is preferred.
