The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring seamless integration between all service streams within the business. This role is central to ensuring that the company's operational capabilities are aligned with project execution requirements and delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership & Delivery
    • Oversee daily operational activities across all operational support hubs.
    • Ensure operational plans, resourcing, and readiness align with project timelines and client requirements.
    • Provide leadership to operations teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution across all phases.
    • Champion continuous improvement across operational processes, tools, procedures, and asset utilisation.
  • People Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams including supervisors, yard managers, logistics personnel, and technicians.
    • Foster strong collaboration with engineering, supply chain, HSE, project management, and commercial teams.
    • Support business development activities with operational insights for bids, proposals, and capability statements.
    • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational priorities.
  • Performance, Budget & Reporting
    • Develop and manage operational budgets, resource plans, and performance KPIs.
    • Oversee operational reporting including utilisation, productivity, readiness, and equipment status.
    • Implement cost-control strategies without compromising safety or quality.
    • Identify operational risks and ensure mitigation strategies are embedded.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
    • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, supply chain, HSE, and commercial teams.
    • Maintain clear communication channels across all departments to ensure operational alignment and readiness.
    • Liaise with subcontractors, service providers, and third-party inspectors as required.
    • Support leadership and business development by providing operational insights for proposals and strategic planning.
  • HSE Excellence & Regulatory Compliance
    • Promote the company's safety culture, ensuring safe operations across yards, logistics bases, and offshore campaigns.
    • Support the governance of the company in relation to all Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibilities, all policies, data protection, procedures, systems and the administration thereof.
    • Ensure compliance with maritime, offshore wind, lifting, construction, and fabrication regulations.
    • Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions.
    • Work closely with Project and HSE teams to ensure operational risk assessments, method statements, and procedures are up to date and followed.
    • Support management of the Business Management System, ensuring all processes are followed and up to date and in-line with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and SSIP.
Experience:
  • Degree in Operations Management, Project Management, Construction Management is desirable. However, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Senior Operations roles within offshore wind would be considered.
  • Strong understanding of offshore wind processes.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in high-pressure, schedule-driven environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness, contract management, and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with client or regulatory quality requirements.
  • Strong HSE knowledge and experience implementing operational safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, operational resources, and performance metrics.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all service streams within the business.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

HSEQ:

  • Identify and take any obvious corrective actions to resolve non-conformances and prevent loss in your immediate area, reporting any hazards to HSEQ Team/Line Manager.
  • Promote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management system.
  • Support the Company’s environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions.
