Lead Cost Engineer

Prism Connect is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cost Engineer to join a Renewables & Energy company based in Scotland. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the cost control functions for the contractual operations, ensuring that project budgets are maintained and costs are optimised throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in cost engineering will support the delivery of financial targets, oversee cost reporting, and collaborate with project teams to mitigate financial risks. As a senior member of the team, you will provide strategic guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. The role demands a proactive approach, strong leadership skills, and comprehensive knowledge of contract cost management to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across multiple projects.

• Proven experience as a Lead Cost Engineer or similar role within the Renewables, Energy or Oil & Gas sector.
• Extensive knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of cost professionals.
• Experience with contract management and cost forecasting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with project stakeholders and clients.
• Relevant industry certifications are desirable.
