The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business development engagements, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance the company's market presence.
  • Lead the preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial proposals, working closely with technical and commercial teams.
  • Develop compelling value propositions tailored to client needs and project requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to secure profitable business opportunities.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with operations and commercial teams to align business development efforts with company capabilities.
  • Provide strategic input on pricing, service offerings, and partnership opportunities.
  • Regularly report on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections.

Experience

  • Experience in renewable energy projects (offshore wind, hydrogen, carbon capture).
  • Proven track record of winning contracts and growing business in the offshore energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery and commercial models.
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
