Prism Connect is seeking a dedicated Contract Cost Engineer to join our client\’s team within the renewables sector. Based in Edinburgh, this role involves overseeing project costs, budgeting, and financial control to ensure the effective management of resources and adherence to project budgets. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing costs, preparing reports, and liaising with project teams to optimise financial efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to key projects within a private company environment with a close-knit team of 36-65 employees.
- Proven experience as a cost engineer, cost controller, or quantity surveyor in a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning for renewables or oil & gas projects.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools related to cost management.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards relevant to the renewables or oil & gas industry in the UK is desirable.
